Crouching Lion offers one of Oahu’s most dramatic viewpoints with a short, steep climb above Kahana Bay. The trail rewards hikers with sweeping ocean and mountain views, especially at sunrise or late afternoon. Though the route is short, it’s best suited for experienced hikers due to steep and uneven terrain.

Getting there from the homes
Crouching Lion Hike (Puu Manamana) is 5-8 minutes from our homes in Ka'a'awa. Most of the drive is on Kamehameha Highway along the windward coast, so leave a little extra time on weekends and in the late afternoon, when traffic through Kaneohe builds. Check the hours above before you set out; they change seasonally.
